7.30pm – Bible Study & Prayer

Read more/less

In the prayer meeting, public and silent prayers are made to God as our Father, in the all powerful name of the Lord Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit of God.

The Bible encourages us to pray in all circumstances and about whatever affects us and others; for example:

  • Giving worship, thanks and praise to God
  • The message of the gospel
  • The well-being of other Christians
  • National or international events
  • Events or needs closer to home in our church fellowship and our families.

Meeting together to pray shows our faith and dependence on God. The Bible tells us that God invites each one of us to pray to Him believing He is always ready to hear us; whether on our own or when we are together. God promises to hear and answer our prayers, according to His infinite holiness, love and power, and His purpose for our good.
