Read more/less

Bible Teaching Meetings are Wednesday 7:30pm to 8:15pm, Saturday evenings 7.30pm-8.45pm once a month from September to June, and in our Sunday@6.00pm programme. Refer to ‘What’s on this month’ for current details.

Bible Teaching Meetings provide an opportunity to study God’s word in more depth. Led by knowledgeable and experienced Christians, Bible Teaching Meetings cover a wide range of Bible content and topics throughout the year. They can offer a starting point for further meditation, discussion and study.

The Bible tells us of God’s true, complete and final declaration to the world. Through the history, poetry prophecy and letters that make up the Bible, God has revealed the way to have a right relationship with Him, and to gain an understanding of His purpose for our world and ourselves. Far from being a distant God, or an abstract concept, the God of the Bible is living, all powerful, all, knowing and all present. His word can be relied on and remains living and relevant today. Through hearing and receiving healthy Bible teaching, an individual Christian can be informed, strengthened, encouraged, challenged and equipped to live for God’s glory.

Bible Teaching Meetings usually start with a hymn, and a prayer asking for help from the Holy Spirit of God to give and receive what is being shared. In accordance with the teaching of scripture, public teaching is given by trusted men who are well known to us.
